That is the reason. Since we have less oxygen, less chance of knock/ignition/detonation. Lower octane = more energy content per gallon, higher octane = less energy content but allows you to run more timing on the engine due to it not detonating as early which means your engine has the potential to make more horsepower.Originally posted by Iwndr View PostMT is the same, I don't think elevation is the reason though???
