Let me amendmy statement a little. Under 3ft gets me nervous on lakes that I know and frequent. It's closer to 5-7ft on lakes I dont know.

2' on my depth gauge makes me nervous. I have to run it down to about 2' just to pick up the person who dropped the truck at our lake. 2' of depth on depthfinder = waist deep on a 6' tall person.
