    oil bath hubs

All of my previous boat trailers have had bearing buddies. My current boatmate has the oil bath hubs. The are supposed to be maintenance free.

The trailer is going on 2 years old now. No issues and I don't trailer as much as I used to, but I still get some 200+ mile pulls in.

Anybody have long term experience with them?
    Road side emergency supplies thought?

I don't really have any idea on how to service or replace them if I needed to. thanks.

I had them on my boat and last year (after 8 years) I had one fail and it took out the spindle, brake disc and bearings. I wound up ordering this whole unit:

While I was replacing that, I checked the oil and seals in the other 3 and only found 1 that was missing any oil. My trailer had tens of thousands of miles on it too.

As a preventative measure, is there a way to check oil levels in these. I'm unfamiliar with this design but have on my boatmate trailer
