I heard through the grape vine that the 2000 21 v RIDERS EDITION (maybe a couple of other years) was a limited production run of around 60 boats. And what makes it a RIDERS EDITION is that it has 600 lb. of lead weight built in to the hull. Can some one tell me if this is true? After some comments I’ll tell you my source.

I don't think so. It was my understanding that it was primarily a trim level difference. The seats were different, it had a more sporty dash and it had a tower standard. I don't know about limited production, it may have been that they only built 60 because they didn't get more orders than that.Originally posted by tsnowflake72 View PostI heard through the grape vine that the 2000 21 v RIDERS EDITION (maybe a couple of other years) was a limited production run of around 60 boats. Pretty sure. The specs on the boat are the same, from a weight perspective. I had mine built to order back in '99. I've got 2 friends with '02 Riders editions. With the exception of seats, graphics, dash and tower, their boat is structurally identical.Originally posted by tsnowflake72 View PostAre you sure?Cursed by a fortune cookie: "Your principles mean more to you than any money or success."

If Eddie G said it, it must be true. I'd want to confirm that though. I don't recall them ever stating that in any of their literature.Originally posted by tsnowflake72 View PostMy dealer said that Eddie G from Tige told him that.
MY boat is a Riders Edition and was trying to igure out if it was true.
No, I've got the limited. It's still a very heavy boat.Cursed by a fortune cookie: "Your principles mean more to you than any money or success."

I wish you would have asked me that question 2 weeks ago. Because then I could have asked him in person. Maybe tony@tige or harvey can could confirm this for you?Originally posted by tsnowflake72 View PostHow do I confirm that.Cursed by a fortune cookie: "Your principles mean more to you than any money or success."

With Tige's historical stance on ballast V's safety, I doubt they would add lead to the guts of the boat, they've just recently turned the corner on the "ballast can be a good thing" road
