Ski Lockers?

Does anybody know why Tige does not have an in-floor ski/wakeboard locker. I am just wondering if there is a reason why. I am ok without it but it kind of strikes me as odd.

Actually I prefer that it does not have one so as a driver I don't have to deal with people wacking me in the head with skis and boards.(although it might help ) or the darn dogs falling into it when its open.

Fuel tank is in the way because the space for the fuel tank is occupied by the transmission and V-drive. In an I/O, the fuel tank is further back in the hull.

Makes sense. It is probably the same reason on the VE series and the RZ series where they have bigger fuel tanks. Also explains why BIL has one but 2/3 of it is in the bow area.

Not trying to come across wrong but on Tige.com there are videos that show the entire process from start to finish of how the boat was made. Within those videos, you can also see why there isn't any room for that type of stuff.

I'm sure they could. I'd definitely go for that option even if it were extra.

can see by the construction but really was wondering why they made the choice. chpthrils answer kind of explains the why behind the construction. The video is kind of neat if you have never seen the building process. I have gone to various boat manufacturers in Missouri and none of them compare.

Ok, probably a dumb question, but with the DD's, the fuel tank is across the very back of the stern. I wonder why they don't put a ski locker towards the wake through. I know mastercraft puts them in. It would just seem to me that it would be easier for tige to put those in for ballast purposes

My in order to do this, you would have to either make the stringer system smaller (i.e. weaker, lighter, more flexible), or make the floor shallower and have the storage on top of the current stringer system, in order to make room for in in-floor storage area that far forward.

This would take away from 2 of Tige's strong selling points.

Deep freeboard=no storage underneath.

Supra has "the cavern" which is made possible by the high floor and their deep V keel.

Tige has shallow floor which makes if roomier on top. Ive looked up the bow and there is minimal room there. So like chpthril said they would have to raise the floor and that would take away one of their strong points.
