Anyone have pictures/recomendations on where to install a strainer on a 2007 24VE, 340 hp MPI engine ? This is my first experience with direct/V drives and I now know how prone they are to pick up just about anything in the water. Dealer believes I clogges the xmission cooler. I'm going to pull the hoses and flushe the cooler. I want to add the strainer while I'm in there. Any recommendations are appreciated.

Here is my post with pics about my strainer on my 22v, should be about the same for you. On page 2 my dealer gave a quickie install rundown. You could also call my dealer and ask for Dom or Kevin, 888-517-3178.

Thanks for the link. I have the same strainer as you. From looking at your pictures as well as my options the 24VE appears to be a lot more cramped where the inlet hose runs to the cooler. I think I'll be standing on my head for a while getting this done.Comment
