How did Vodka get in my transmission????

Okay... so i'm kidding, just thought it was funny... i'm easy to please =)

Swapped out the tranny oil today... looking rough. I was able to get about a quart and a quarter out. Just looking for some reassurance that i didn't mess up here... like put it in the wrong unit lol. I've got to tell you, there are very few things as satisfying as moving that little hose around and finding another bit of dirty oil hidden in there. I read the how-to and thought i followed spot on... i just didn't have any plastic bottles laying around so i used what i had.

If everyone agrees, i plan on running it tomorrow, checking the fluid, adding/draining if need be. However, after a change or two if the oil is still getting milky then i have a leak... what should i look for?

Thank you for your help. Man my hair is getting thin...

Check your inline raw water transmission cooler. Probably cracked.

Sorry for the questions... Any idea where it's located? Can it be tested without pulling?

Its in line on the raw water plumbing between the lake and the engine. Has a supply and return line to/from the trans. It can be pressure tested. Would have to rig something up for a DIY test though.

Okay so I overfilled it a little. The equivalent to 3 or 4 lines.

Do I need to drain it out?
