24Ve - Dash cup holder & Speakers

Anyone ever taken the task yet? Post your pics or tips if you've got em. I couldn't find more than a brief thread about doing it. I drive on the bolster about 99% of the time & would love to have my drink a little closer to me. A little more sound right there would be nice too, but Rev10's going on in a month or so which almost makes this item obsolete.

Not sure what you're asking here. My 24Ve has a driver's cupholder in the dash already, so are you talking about adding another? Moving it? Replacing it with a speaker?

WHAT??? I got jipped then on our 2010. Can you post a picture?

I have those speaker placements, factory installed. Unfortunately with the bolster up & driving you can't hear them unless they're blasting. In turn, the people who CAN hear the music already are slowly going deaf.

Did your 2010 not have the "premium" level stereo with 3 pair of XS-650, sub and Syn-6? Or are you looking to add a 4th pair to the cabin. With the 3rd pair, you got a speaker under the helm by the woofer and one right behind the drivers seat. The number of speaker and placement are key to bringing the sound stage closer to the captain. Its also more efficient than upping the wattage.

FWIW, my 2009 had the "Tower of Power" sound upgrade so yes, there's a woofer and a smaller speaker under the helm plus one at the floor behind the captain's chair. But there is also a cupholder on the left side of the dash, and I don't think that would be related to the choice of sound system.

WA has an 2009. They changed the dash in 2010 when they went to the Tige Touch. My 07 22ve had the dash located cup holder and I miss it on my 2011.

Boat's in storage, but as I said "there is also a cupholder on the left side of the dash", opposite side from the throttle lever.
OK, found a shot of it. Lower left corner, has a key floaty and a cellphone in it.

I was refering to a speaker by the throttle lever. Like I said in my last post, I had the same cup holder you posted a picture of on my 07 22ve and miss it on my 11.

That'd be a nice little addon. I wonder what their reasoning was for getting rid of it on the 2010+?

Side note - isn't the key floaty supposed to be ON the keys to work?

It's actually connected to the Contour HD camera next to it (the dark cylindrical object on the left). The Contour is waterproof so our son takes it with him on cliff jumping adventures, and the floaty is there just in case.

The keys have their own, separate, Tige floaty.
