I agree with your theory in general, but not when applied to the ACME CNC'd props. I dont think the pitch is bent into the prop after the prop is machined out, but rather the pitch and cup are machined into the prop as its being cut out of the stock.Originally posted by robert theisen View PostPitch, pitch, pitch. when you bend the same diameter at a different pitch you change the diameter. The diameter is most likely what the prop would measure if it was flat.Think about it?Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

"overall perform better" ... but if it performs better in specific areas pertinent to load under surf ballast, then a 5 blade might be better for that application.Originally posted by Iwndr View PostAcme told me that they have not built a 5 blade yet that would overall perform better than any 4 blade that they make. In other words he recommended the 4 blade.
And that included their 15" line
I wonder what the 5 blade props do better, if anything?
