    Greasing the Steering cable

on the 21v how many locations can you grease the steering? I would like to make sure i do not have any problems with the steering in the future an suggestions?

On my 20v I undo the cable under the engine where it connects to the boat. Then you can pull the sleave back and expose the cable, then I attach a piece of small vacume line to the straw on a can of spray "white lithium grease". Then I insert the vacume line into the sleave and spray away! The lithium grease sprays very thin then thickens into a grease. I do this twice a year. So far so good.

instead of greasing the steering cable it is better to spray wd40 or apply a ligt coat of oil on the cable where it goes through steering tube at the back of the boat . oil works better than grease cause when there is water in the bilge the grease becomes cakey and causes steering become stiff.
