You need a Y that will plug into the back of the head unit. The helm remote will plug into one side of the Y and the other side will be for the transom remote. You will also need a cable long enough to get to the transom. I found all of that on Amazon.comOriginally posted by Wakeman22 View PostI was wondering how the transome remote hooks into the system and if there is something I should be looking out for. Like will I need a special cable or adapter?

If you are adding a transom remote, I think you will also need to get the extension cable IIRC. This will get you from the transom to the mid-ship storage.Originally posted by Wakeman22 View PostI was wondering how the transome remote hooks into the system and if there is something I should be looking out for. Do yourself a favor on the ballast system.. get all the parts from chpthril. I'm happy to provide any pictures or assistance you need, I couldn't have done it without chpthril guiding me through and answering all my stupid questions.Originally posted by Wakeman22 View PostThanks for the info. That will be the first project for the spring and then I will work on the ballast automation.

After reading, thinking and planning I will be using chpthrl for all the needs. I already have some bags and pumps but plan to spend a little time learning the boat and where everything should be placed. In the end it will probably be very similar to the ones installed by you guys. I just got the boat and have only spent a few hours oin it last weekend and did not get a cchance to play with the current ballast set up.Wake Up or Stay On Shore!
