The results are in from the survey.
Thank you for those who completed the recent 2026 Tige Owners Reunion survey. We advertised on the Tige Owners forum, the West Coast Tige Owners Reunion Facebook page, and the West Coast Tige Owners Instagram page to maximize our participation rate. We received 56 responses this go around. To avoid any conflict of interest, the coordinators did NOT participate in the survey. We have provided a brief summary of those responses here;
1. 91% of the survey respondents indicated their willingness to offset the coordinators’ expenses with a donation. There was one write in response: “What expenses were out of pocket?”. Thankfully, there were not any out-of-pocket expenses in 2025 thanks to the donations we received. More information on how to donate will be distributed later. As with previous years, we will provide a complete account of where the money is spent to those who donate.
2. When asked if there were not enough in sponsorship/donation dollars to pay for the dinner, 75% of answers were “yes” that they would be willing to pay a fee per person for the dinner.
3.On choice between cotton or climate-cool, we had a response of 39% cotton, 28% climate-cool & 21% indicate both, we will be offering both again for 2026 4. More than 55% would be interested in purchasing a hooded sweatshirt.
4. More than 87% respondents chose “the friendships (new or old) and camaraderie of other Tige Boat Owners” as the primary reason they are interested in attending the 2026 reunion.
5. When asked what returning boat owners would like to see less of in 2026, the leading response was “nothing, the event has been stellar” at 85%. One writes in response indicated someone new joining the fun!
6. When asked what returning boat owners would like to see more of in 2026, the leading response was “nothing, the event has been stellar” at 58%. One writes in response indicated a growing interest in a dock party.
7. More than 67% were willing to volunteer for the event. THANK YOU! It sure helps the volunteer coordinators out a ton when others are willing to pitch in. Simply put, we couldn’t (and wouldn’t) do this without you.
8. When provided the open-ended question of “if you could implement or change one thing (good or bad) at the event, what would it be?” we received 14 responses. Some noteworthy responses included A rep from Germain Marine to be present, and Dave to still MC the prizes. We can’t promise either of these but will surely work on it.
9. When provided the question of “The tie-up continues to be an event highlight, but we are seeing fewer boat owners bringing their own boat to the reunion and tie up. Would you support only entering Tige Owners in the Grand Prize Raffle if they had their boat at the tie up? Tige Owners in attendance will still receive a SWAG Bag and be entered in the regular drawing”, more than 76% responded “Yes”. Some noteworthy write-in comments included:
Some people are not comfortable with tying up due to maneuverability of the boat. We are all one big family and will gladly help one another with getting situated at the tie up.
10. On the final question from the Committee advising on volunteering. We know we have big shoes to fit and will always accept help.
Thank you for taking time to provide us with feedback. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. West Coast Tige Owners Reunion Committee.
