It's that time again! We have already started preparing for the 20th Annual West Coast Tige Owners Reunion. The event will once again be at the Havasu Springs Resort http://www.havasusprings.com in Lake Havasu, AZ. We realize it's early, but we are trying to provide our participants the maximum amount of time necessary for vacation planning. The 2025 event will take place September 12-14, 2025. The block number you will need for the Lake View Rooms is 153914. We also have 5 RV spots reserved for our event. https://www.riverrvrentals.com/ has RVs available for rent. They will drop off and pick up as well. The RV site rental fee (full hook ups) at Havasu Springs is $74 a night. The Block number for the RV spots is 153931. To reserve, contact Havasu Springs at (928) 667-3361 (ext. 2). This announcement will be shared across all of our social media accounts today, so hurry and book before it's too late.

Thank you for those who completed the recent 2025 Tige Owners Reunion survey. We advertised on the Tige Owners forum, the West Coast Tige Owners Reunion Facebook page, and the West Coast Tige Owners Instagram page to maximize our participation rate. We received 37 responses (our highest number of responses to date). To avoid any conflict of interest, the coordinators did NOT participate in the survey. We have provided a brief summary of those responses here;
1. 94% of the survey respondents indicated their willingness to offset the coordinators expenses with a donation. There was one write in response: “What expenses were out of pocket?”. Thankfully, there were not any out-of-pocket expenses in 2024 thanks to the donations we received. More information on how to donate will be distributed later. As with previous years, we will provide a complete account of where the money is spent to those who donate.
2. More than 61% chose a short sleeve shirt over a long sleeve.
3. More than 45% chose a Cotton t-shirt over Clima Cool, with another 19% indicating they would be interested in both (we will have both in 2025).
4. More than 61% would be interested in purchasing a hooded sweatshirt.
5. More than 87% respondents chose “the friendships (new or old) and camaraderie of other Tige Boat Owners” as the primary reason they are interested in attending the reunion.
6. When asked what returning boat owners would like to see less of in 2025, the leading response was “nothing, the event has been stellar” at 80%. One write in response indicated “Wind”! We concur!
7. When asked what returning boat owners would like to see more of in 2025, the leading response was “nothing, the event has been stellar” at 65%. One write in response indicated “Tie up in a cove to make it a bit easier”. Although we appreciate the recommendation, this was the first year at Havasu Springs (out of 5) where the conditions made the tie up challenging. The wind was blowing in one direction, while the current was pushing the other. Due to the large number of boats (35-50), a cove may not be feasible. If the conditions are the same in 2025, we will not attempt 2 rows and just go straight to one line. Some of the “old-timers” may remember cancelling the tie up altogether at Temple Bar one year due to high winds, only for it to die down in the afternoon for an impromptu tie up.
8. More than 65% were willing to volunteer for the event. THANK YOU! It sure helps the volunteer coordinators out a ton when others are willing to pitch in. Simply put, we couldn’t (and wouldn’t) do this without you.
9. When provided the open-ended question of “if you could implement or change one thing (good or bad) at the event, what would it be?” we received 22 responses. Some noteworthy responses included;
o Better food/drinks or BBQ on meet and greet day. The food/drinks have been paid for by donations and arranged by volunteers. If you would like to volunteer or donate to improve the Friday night meet and greet, we would welcome the help!
o Better organization on the boat tie off. We try! However, our attempts didn’t stand a chance against Mother Nature in 2024. Additionally, getting 35-50 boat owners on the same page is akin to herding cats, no matter how much organization there is.
o Give tickets at the door, mix up the tickets and call numbers that match the prizes. This has been recommended before. The coordinators need to keep track of which boat owners are winning which prizes so we can email the sponsors with pictures and the winners names. This was a request of multiple sponsors. As coordinators, we don’t always remember faces/names.
o More onsite room availability. For perspective, this event has grown tremendously over the last 20 years. We moved to Havasu Springs from Temple Bar to double the room availability, and now we are busting at the seams again. A good problem to have for sure. With that said, we (the coordinators) have no plans to move from Havasu Springs anytime soon.
10. When provided the question of “The tie-up continues to be an event highlight, but we are seeing fewer boat owners bringing their own boat to the reunion and tie up. Would you support only entering Tige Owners in the Grand Prize Raffle if they had their boat at the tie up? Tige Owners in attendance will still receive a SWAG Bag and be entered in the regular drawing”, more than 75% responded “Yes”. Some noteworthy write-in comments included:
o If two family members are owners of a Tige boat, all shouldn’t have to bring their boats. We are not “requiring” anyone to bring their boats. We are limiting the grand prizes to those that bring their boats. A Tige boat owners’ reunion without Tige boats seems counterintuitive. It’s worth noting, this will impact the coordinators family too as our son owns a Tige.
o Any owner that comes to the event should be entered in the grand prize. In the 10 years we have been coordinating the event, we have done it both ways. We understand and respect both perspectives. However, 75% of our survey respondents believe you should only be entered in the grand prize drawing if you bring your boat to the reunion.
11. When the following was posted as the last question on the survey “This will be our 10th year coordinating the annual Tige Boat Owners Reunion. We would be happy to turn it over to someone else for 2026 if they are interested. If you are interested, please leave your name here, or email davidwpowell2@verizon.net
*Please understand; this is a yearlong VOLUNTEER commitment with many hours necessary”, There were no responses or emails to us with anyone interested in taking over the coordinator responsibilities. Buehler? Buehler?
Thank you for taking time to provide us feedback. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. Dave and Pam Powell, West Coast Tige Owners Reunion Volunteer Coordinators.

It’s time to reserve those golf cars, if you haven’t already. If you are attending the reunion for the first time, trust us when we say you will want a golf car for the event. Everything at Havasu Springs Resort is spread out and quite a walk from one place (I.e. pool) to another (restaurant/bar, launch ramp, etc).

Payment for your orders will be collected in advance via:
VENMO – @David-Powell-52

ZELLE - 951-760-3296.
The deadline for orders is Friday, August 22nd!
Orders will be delivered Friday night at the reunion, or in special circumstances, shipped USPS (at recipients' expense).
Main Event Dinner
We still have a few available rooms and seats for the dinner. We have registered you and the number of guests you provided us (please see attached). If you arrive with more people in your party than listed, we will unfortunately have to turn them away. Check in will occur at the door. If you have any cancellations in your party, please let us know ASAP so we can plan accordingly.
Sunday Breakfast
Our event continues to benefit from wonderful volunteers and those who have donated money again this year! Gil and Jennifer have graciously volunteered to pick up the groceries and have "grab and go" breakfast for everyone again on Sunday morning down by the Poolside Apartment (at the end) before people start taking their boats out of the water and heading home. The groceries will be paid in full by your generous donations. For those who have not donated and might still be interested in making this the best event to date:
VENMO – @David-Powell-52
PAYPAL – davidwpowell2@verizon.net
ZELLE - 951-760-3296.
We provide a detailed account of all the money we spend to those who donate (and receipts are available for viewing upon request).
Thursday Pirates Cove Run
For those arriving early, many of us will be making another run to Pirates Cove Thursday morning, leaving the Havasu Springs no wake zone at approximately 9:30am. We will stop at Lake Havasu Marina to top off gas, then make the run to Pirates, have lunch, and return back to Havasu Springs around 2:30pm. For you Havasu locals interested in making the run with us, you can meet us at the Lake Havasu Marina near the gas pumps around 10:30ish. Please note, this is NOT part of the reunion, just something the early birds have done the last five years and enjoyed, so we thought we would keep it going.
Lodging
There are 3 Lakeview Rooms available. The code you will need to book one of those rooms is 153914. There is 1 remaining RV spot (with full hook ups) available at our discounted rate, and more at the regular rate. To reserve an RV site, contact Havasu Springs at (928) 667-3361 (ext 2). The code you will need for an RV site is 153950. If you need to cancel a poolside or marina room for any reason, please contact me prior to calling Havasu Springs. We have families on the waiting list, and we would like to get them those rooms as soon as possible.
Transportation around Havasu Springs
Havasu Springs is spread out on a fairly large piece of property. It’s a long walk to get to the restaurant, to the marina, to the hotel rooms, etc. For this reason, they have an onsite Golf Car rental company. I strongly encourage you to reserve one of their golf carts in advance by going to/calling Lake Havasu City Golf Cart Rentals | Premier Golf Cars
