    GREAT News! We have already started preparing for the 17th Annual West Coast Tige Owners Reunion. The event will once again be at the Havasu Springs Resort https://havasusprings.com/ in Lake Havasu, AZ. The 2022 event will take place September 9-11, 2022. The Hotel is sold out, but we welcome all Tige Owners to join us at the tie-up on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 9:30am, just outside of Havasu Springs in the No Wake Zone.

            Thank you for those who completed the recent 2022 Tige Owners Reunion survey. We advertised on the Tige Owners forum, the West Coast Tige Owners Reunion Facebook page, and the West Coast Tige Owners Instagram page to maximize our participation rate. We received 32 responses. To avoid any conflict of interest, the coordinators did NOT participate in the survey. We have provided a brief summary of those responses here;
            1. 100% of the survey respondents indicated their willingness to offset the coordinators expenses with a donation. THANK YOU! More information on how to donate will be distributed later. As with last year, we will provide a complete account of where the money is spent to those who donate.
            2. 64% of the survey respondents chose BBQ for next year’s dinner.
            3. When asked what color everyone would like to see for the event tee-shirt, one color received more than 54% of the votes. The next closest choice was at 16%. The winning color will be shared when we post the 2022 logo early next year.
            4. More than 76% chose a short sleeve shirt over a long sleeve.
            5. More than 68% chose a Clima-Cool over a Cotton t-shirt.
            6. More than 64% would be interested in purchasing a sweatshirt.
            7. When asked “We are considering a group picture of everyone at the outdoor wedding venue (next to the banquet hall) before the dinner and raffle. Would this be something you would be interested in?” more than 80% liked the idea. This will be in addition to the group boat photo.
            8. More than 88% respondents chose “the friendships (new or old) and camaraderie of other Tige Boat Owners” as the primary reason they are interested in attending the reunion.
            9. When asked what returning boat owners would like to see less of in 2021, the leading response was “nothing, the event has been stellar” at 92%.
            10. When asked what returning boat owners would like to see more of in 2021, the leading response was “nothing, the event has been stellar” at 60%. The write in recommendations included;
            1. [*=1]Organized Corn Hole Tourney. Response; Great idea! If anyone is willing to coordinate this, please let us know so we may add it to the weekend agenda. [*=1]A dock party would be super fun. Response; Great idea! Some of our (the coordinators) fondest memories have been at the “unofficial” dock parties. FIRE BALL! [*=1]Loved the live music the first year but I understand not many stayed around for it but our family loved it. Most of the previous feedback we have received on the band was “great music, but too loud for the venue”. [*=1]I would like to see more group involvement. Maybe more ways to interact with people we don't know. I would also like to see board and boat demos and maybe a pro rider. We would too! Please reach out to folks you haven’t met before and mingle. We encourage everyone to visit the pool in the late afternoons, as many seem to congregate there. Board demos have been available every year for the last 5 or 6 years… you just need to hunt down the sponsor providing them or the latest person who is testing one out. Same for the boat demos. Germaine Marine has at least one Demo Boat on site every year. We have asked Tige yearly for Pro-Riders. Our reunion schedule often conflicts with their pro-events and/or preparations. [*=1]We had the room till 11... keep the bar open that long. We agree! We reached out immediately after the event with this concern and have been reassured this will not happen again. Apparently, the bartenders only stepped away for a few minutes… it just so happens it occurred right when we finished the raffle. They did return, but by the time that happened most everybody had left.
            1. More than 60% were willing to volunteer for the event. THANK YOU! It sure helps the volunteer coordinators out a ton when others are willing to pitch in. Simply put, we couldn’t (and wouldn’t) do this without you.
            2. When provided the open-ended question of “if you could implement or change one thing (good or bad) at the event, what would it be?” we received 13 responses. Some noteworthy responses included;
            1. Maybe awards for best looking Tigé, best audio, most accessories, best trailer set-up...stuff like that. We have received previous year’s survey responses indicating attendees were not interested in these types of activities. However, if someone is willing to volunteer to lead those activities, we encourage you.
            2. Add extra days to the event. There are many of us who arrive as early as the Tuesday before the event and stay until as late as Monday. We encourage others to as well. However, A LOT of work goes into the 3-day event now with nothing but volunteers involved. Asking for more work from volunteers already looking for a vacation may be too much to ask.
            3. Since Dave has the direct line to God for getting us the great weather, please use that communication to get rid of mosquitos. LOL, Dave has raised up more prayers!
            4. More interaction and things for people to do. Maybe a beach hang out after the tie-up, or during the "meet and Greet" actually meet and greet new people with some type of ice breaker. Also, maybe a group boat outing to Pirates or another location. Great ideas! If someone would like to lead these events up, the volunteer coordinators will be there. There was a group trip to TOPOCK 66 last year on Thursday (announced on all our social media sites). 6 boats went up and had a great time.
            5. More non-alcoholic beverage choices (fountain drinks) We will request this from the caterer, but we cannot guarantee it. Note; we cannot pay for these options if the price is increased on top of what our sponsors are already paying.
            6. Don’t take **** from anyone. They chose to be there and if they’re only there for the prizes and a somewhat free ride then they can move on. I think more help would be nice so it’s not so busy for the select few. Thank you for your feedback.
            1. When the following was posted as the last question on the survey “This will be our 7th year coordinating the annual Tige Boat Owners Reunion. We would be happy to turn it over to someone else for 2023 if they are interested. If you are interested, please leave your name here, or email davidwpowell2@verizon.net *Please understand; this is a yearlong VOLUNTEER commitment with many hours necessary”, we received the following responses:
            1. Sheesh, you two are the best. This will be hard for anyone to hold a candle to your level of commitment. If you need more help during the course of planning, please let us know.
            2. I don't mind helping, but I would not want to actually coordinate it. But if there are some things to do during the year to prepare, let me know how I can help.
            3. I will not attend if the Powell’s are not doing it. They are 1st class, and no one can top that.
            There were no responses or emails to us with anyone interested in taking over the coordinator responsibilities.

            Thank you for taking time to provide us feedback. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. Dave and Pam Powell, West Coast Tige Owners Reunion Volunteer Coordinators.
