Welcome to the site! Congratulations on your new boat. Post up a picture when you get a chance.
If your boat is a 2150 then it is a 1997. That is the only year it had that title. The next few years they called it a 22i.

I have one, as well as a few other owners that frequent this site. Fill us in on the specifics.

Thanks. The trailer says Pre 2150 on it, but the boat is a 1996 according to the title. We are getting rain here today for the first time in about 3 months, will post some better pics when I can pull the cover off.

Boat appears very well maintained. Hull has 1 small nick high up that looks like an inexpensive repair. 1-2 small tears in the upholster, otherwise cosmetics are great. I believe it has the 1st Gen Bennett / TAPS system on it which is not currently operational. I need to figure out if it is an electrical issue or a problem with the motor/actuator. The prior owner of the boat said the TAPS was never operational as long as he owned the boat. I think he was mainly a slalom skier so he never bothered to try to repair the trim tab.

Some more photos of the boat, including 2 of the minor hull damage. Only blemish I can find on the hull.

Welcome! Good looking boat. Check out Spectrum Patch Paste Kit. See if they have that color. I used it on a few nicks on the bottom my hull and it blended right in (my hull is white vs the cream). Swim platform looks to be custom made. The vents on the transom are different than a 97 is and interior is just a touch different as well so probably is a 96 with a 97 trailer. You might want to get some pads on the trailer guide poles keep you from scratching the hull loading it. Typically the round uprights have PVC pipe over them with foam padding. Any questions just ask there are lots of good guys on here with tons of good info.

Yikes! That is a nasty gouge. Looks like he caught the corner of a steel dock. Platform is definitely not original. It almost looks like redwood. Those cleats on the stern are definitely not factory. The interior looks like it's been redone. I don't recall seeing the pockets on the side panels. I could very well be wrong though.

Any pics of the motor? That will usually tell you a lot about how the boat was cared for.

Yeah the original swim platform was teak I believe and was removed. The current platform is actually constructed out of Trex synthetic decking material. It is very sturdy and grippy, but you are correct not original. Will post some pics of the motor.

Well it's definitely not a 2150. The fuel tank is not in the rear center like that.

Had the boat out on the water for the first time on Lake Ontario yesterday and it runs very well. Only hiccup the speedometer gauge fills with water at speed, will have the check the hoses or perhaps the diaphragm is compromised.

Sounds like you had a good first outing. If the gauge fills with water the gauge is toast. Probably can find someone that upgraded to perfect pass that would sell you one. Or better yet upgrade it to perfect pass (still on my list of upgrades)

There is a guy that has parts or rebuilds them.

Or have it converted to a GPS.

Or, of course, as mentioned get Perfect Pass or their GPS Speedometer.
