    Noise from back for transmission

I have a 1999 2200i with the velvet drive transmission. The boat is awesome and we have really enjoyed it over the years. This year I noticed a whinning noise that sounds like it is coming out of the velvet drive transmission. Only happens between 2200-2800 rpm. Anyone heard of a problem like this? I am wondering if there is an issue with the output bearing or the transmission. It seems to be getting louder...
    Any help appreciated.
    Thanks,

Welcome to the site. When was the last time the maintenance was done?

I changed the transmission fluid 2 years ago(about 100 hours since then).
