    trans fluid pressure

I have a 2001 22ir with the velvet drive transmission. The transmission fluid filler cap/dipstick seems to have alot of pressure on it after about an hour warm up. I was a little low on fluid and noticed some fluid in the hull under the tranny. So I added some fluid and tightened the filler cap. Next time out, lost a little more fluid and had way too much pressure on the cap. Seems like too much air pressure in the tranny, maybe pushed some fluid out of the seal. The air breather on top of tranny pushes in and seems to be fine. Any suggestions?

Check out this link...This may be your problem. I thought it was leaking from the dip stick at first also.

Thanks for the link. Doesn't seem to be leaking at the shifter. Does your dipstick have alot of pressure on it after running for about 30 minutes?
