Bogging down

Anyone else run across this problem? I have a 01 20i and when I have the throttle at about 3/4 - full cruising, the engine will bog down. I normally just pull back to neutral for a min then take back off again.

Any idea's?

Have you ever changed your fuel filter?

How long has the gas been in there? Did you add stabil over the winter? Have you changed your fuel/water seperator recently?

Yes

I did add fuel stabil over the winter. There has been new gas added and we have been out 3x now. It also did this a few times last yr as well. Its gets an annual service every year, I will request a fuel filter change as well.

Fuel pump issue maybe? Ours did that last year, they found a loose ground wire on the fuel pump.

Fixed!!!!!

For what it worth the boat is fixed now. I had a family friend service it in Lake Havasu this time. We did the annual service as normal. He also noticed a "inline filter" that is aluminum and is almost located under the engine on the side. He said this filter had never been changed before and the boat is an 02. When we removed it I cut it open and found a bunch of little particles inside. Also the screen inside is very very fine. Once I accelerated I probably wasn’t getting and petro through the filter.
