What about the ZR-409,any ideas on the top speed with the OEM Prop?

I have 07 RZ2 with the 400hp and I got 48 MPH yesterday.

Well folks I'm new to this forum and just ordered my first Tige boat! Its a 2009 RZ2 with the Alfa-Z tower and the PCM ZR-409! Can't wait to get on the water and wanted to ask every one what they thought and to see if there was anything I needed to know? Like things to watch out for, possible issues, or whatever!

Rick - do you have experience driving inboard boats? If you are familiar with that, great! If not, make sure your dealer spends a little time teaching you the handling characteristics (especially the lack of directional steering in reverse). As I was new to inboards when we got ours last year, I will say that "slow and easy" is advised until you get used to it.

Hey!!!! It steers perfect in reverse. Just make sure you know that the boat will pull backwards and to the right Plan ahead and you will be okay.

Precisely. Just plan your moves based on only going right in reverse.

Mine came with a Cipa mirror that attaches to the top of the windshield frame. I don't know if anyone makes a billet-style mirror arm yet for the Alpha Z. If anyone does, and it looks anything like the gawd awful contraption that I've seen for the Malibu Illusion, then I sure wouldn't want it. That thing is UGLY. The windshield-mount Cipa seems to work fine for me. Just turn it down when not using it and it's not too obtrusive.

Ya, that CIPA mirror is the bomb. Three different mirrors with different angles so you can continually see your rider is very nice.
