Tone the cabins down and let the towers scream, the Wet Sounds are pretty good at not filtering into the boat too much.Originally posted by DieselPWR View PostIts loud when I drive!! 1 word..........volume!Originally posted by Timmy! View PostStupid question but why does it cost so much? I paid $600 for a complete exhaust system for my Corvette and there's probably 20' of pipe in it vs 3' in this deal. All the money you guys spend on boat stuff, stereos, boards, vests, ropes, ect. and you're still trying to justify $400 for the FAE. Christ, a new wakeboard, blank, will cost you that. The value is in the results Dude. I'm not trying to rip on those that use this argument , I'm just totally confused by it. FAE's kickass and that is all there is to it. $400, $500, $600 whatever, just sign me up 'cause I aint ownin' a boat without one. You'll get your chance, smart guy.

That's nuts. If they get to $1,000 is it still worth it? A few people on wakeworld estimated all the costs involved to make it and at $350 it is worth it to buy but if it goes to $700 you won't see a lot of people lining up to buy.Originally posted by NICKYPOO View Post$400, $500, $600 whatever, just sign me up 'cause I aint ownin' a boat without one."a what? i can['t] say/spell/pronounce that word..." - wannabewakeboarder

I'm right there with you. You can save a lot of money by eliminating 90Db + from the back of your boat. That's 90Db + you have to add to your tower stereo. If that doesn't work, surfing without one is just stupid. Not so much for the rider as the passengers in the boat. It's absolutely amazing how much fumes end up in the back of the boat from the station wagon effect.Originally posted by NICKYPOO View PostAll the money you guys spend on boat stuff, stereos, boards, vests, ropes, ect. and you're still trying to justify $400 for the FAE. It's a deal at $400, but like NICKYPOO pointed out, I'd pay more now that I have one.Cursed by a fortune cookie: "Your principles mean more to you than any money or success."

Like I said, I don't really care. It's worth every penny to me. I don't particularly like sucking exhaust fumes but, if someone does, that's their right. I just don't think it's fair to everyone else on your boat to make them breath that crap. I find that downright selfish and stubborn. From the drivers seat I rarely smelled exhaust but, when I jumped in the back, I felt awful for making everyone breath fumes. Putting on an FAE was the least I could do for some of the most important people in my life. But that's just me.Originally posted by evil0ne View PostThat's nuts. I do. I have the WS420. Its the screamin metal that makes it "louder". Funny when its gwen stefanoi playing she can magically stand the higher volume.Originally posted by chpthril View PostTone the cabins down and let the towers scream, the Wet Sounds are pretty good at not filtering into the boat too much.
Point is I am pumped to try it out and hear the stereo even better. Installed it last weekend, testing that and the ballast friday.

I didn't mind the 400. Money seems to flow freely when it comes to upgrading toys. I did think it was weak that it didn't come with bolt sleeves!!Originally posted by Timmy!
