Note that on the solid side (which is an awesome look), the transom is solid too by default. But the pics of SPOLK69's new RZ4 show the two-tone transom with solid sides. I do not know if that is a commonly available option or not.

Lookin at the two boats I'm almost likin the looks of the Alpha Z tower better. Tall is an inovator...I'm sure you could find a way to work your stereo system the way you want

I just found out that the owner of my old boat just bought a PAIR OF 485'S AND A PAIR OF PRO 80'S for the tower. I think he will have no shortage of noise. WOW! He was thinking threesome, but the center of the tower is structured that a 485 can't be centered, so he just bought another 485! He will be throwing down some serious heat!

I think the second 485 is slightly overkill, but it looked bad without having it symmetrical.

Wow. What is he powering them with? You were thinking you were sweetening the deal by taking them off and he just wanted to get rid of the "junk." BTW, my tower creeks with two 485s I don't want to know what it would do with 2 80s in addition.

By no means were the Tyrants junk, they sounded great! I was trying to get financing for everything and couldn't get the full amount for Larry's boat. I ended up just putting the WS equipment on my credit card and I'll pay the interest until it's all paid off! Oh yeah, I'm running a pair of SYN6 amps, one to the tower and the other to the interior 6 - XS-650s and sub. Next year, hopefully, there will be an XS-XXX with a SYN1 added to the mix.....probably a 4th Optima Blue Top as well! That is if I have the recent purchase paid off.

This is true, between Larry blasting the speakers and showing them off to me and Dan putting that little WS Devil on my shoulder the entire ride home....I had to do it! Plus there was a 3SOME in stock and it just made it all to easy.

I take it the 485 mounts hit the center tower supports. I was thinking my boat would look good with a 485 centered but guess that will not work.

Good find Eks for sure. I got the idea from Billy. That boat is for sale. It is a 2008 with MP 340hp and Z tower. I talked to him. Billy seems like a very nice guy. Why is it that guys with Southern accents seem easier to get along with? Anyway, one of the few things I did not like about my last boat was the dark vinyl gets scorching hot (sorry bad05, but it is not like there is any shortage of towels or water at the lake, so it was pretty easy to deal with) so when I discovered that the interior was quite dark, it turned me off. The boat I posted above in my build your Tige has a black accent stripe above the rubrail, but is otherwise the same exterior. None of this has been cleared with the wife, so we will see what I end up with...hopefully she does not want the 'rasta boat'.

On my RZ2, the orange highlights are okay and the white is okay. The two gray tones are hot depending upon if the boat has been sitting for any length of time. However, the black highlights are going to be a hot if you are sitting. The RZ4 that the local dealer has does have the black inside the boat and do they get hot.....
