Z1 surf wave

wow, please tell me how you weighted it up, we have tried several times and just cant get it working!!! we have factory ballast (2 tanks in the back and front sac), but havnt tried using anyt other sacs.

I would try 5-800# in the corner and side you are surfing, and 4-500# in the bow, it was not easy getting this wave to form. These squared off platforms are putting a secondary ridge halfway down in the wave making the wave tricky to surf. We couldnt ever get the goofy side to clean up, maybe with a little more time moving weight around. All in all, the Z1 was really fun to drive, so much more responsive than my old beast.

The best I got my RZ2 to get a good shape wake is to fill the ballast on the side you are surfing all the way and empty the side you are not surfing... I also found that increasing the speed to 11.2 helped on the shape.

When both sides are filled neither side have a good wake.

Again, this the settings that worked best on my RZ2. I have about #700 on the bow and #700 in each side.

We had a huge wake on a 05 22v in powell a few weeks bacK almost up to my waist. No ballast, but we did have 9 folks in the boat. I found that at a taps setting of 2 and 10 mph our wake was super clean huge and curling...

Here is a pick, note, he is up about a third of the wake, and is just learning, so as he is pulling against the rope he is creating a lot of spray, making it look not as clean as it was.

i wish i had pics of our z1 wake. its awesome. a good amount of weight.

i dont know how u do it!!!! we had the bow sac filled, the rear left filled, my 90kg mate sitting on the left, and my 120kg mate on the platform and a few girls sitting along the left side, and we just couldnt get it

i tried changing speeds, and taps but the surfer just couldnt stay on the wave.... sigh.

but you can do it with no ballast. maybe its the board? ill get a pic of it.
