    2 hours cleaning the vinyl

Just finished cleaning all of the vinyl in the RZ2! I have all white vinyl with a touch of mushroom and navy accents so the dirt will stand out. I didn't have my camera with me but I am going back tomorrow to clean the carpet and wash the boat. Now it looks great again! Only took me and hour longer than planned.

It always happens like that. It took me 3 hours when I got my RZ2. It is amazing to know that the white can be bright.

What did you use to clean it with?? Magic Eraser???

I hate the Magic Erasers (I am sure I and one of the few). I just Meguires All Purpose Cleaner cut 6 to 1 with a vinyl brush and follow it up with Meguries #40 Vinyl cleaner / protectant. Some elbow grease and BAM! All nice and clean again.

I used a nylon brush on mine for the majority of the cleaning but the tight areas I had to use a Magic Eraser.

But, I really like the white the Tige uses on the vinyl. When clean, it's very bright.

Sorry to hear that you had that much cleaning but I am sure you feel better about it.

A necessary evil if you care for your boat. I do 2 big cleanings a year on the boat and a bunch of quick cleans the rest of the year.

Also not a fan of the magic eraser (didn't seem to do anything) I used what was recommended for the boat oxy power Fantastik and 303. Dealer did not do a very good clean when I got the boat, it only took 6 hr to clean the interior.

Agree that the whites are awesome when actually clean. I do use ME's but follow them up immediately with a rejuvinator/ protector.

I clean the boat after each run so there is no need for the "big clean" anymore.

Magic Eraser is one of the greatest products ever. It has gotten some stains i thought i would never get out of my seats. I use it on the edges where the dirt really gets ground into the seats.

I really have no idea if this is absolutely necessary or not, but I always treat the vinyl with a revitalizing product after the eraser. My understanding is that the eraser is like very fine sandpaper...

Yes, I do add a conditioner to my seats after I use the Magic Eraser. It is all about getting the vinyl covered with something that will not allow it to fade in color.

ME will take off a very fine layer of vinyl each time.

Yes, they will take a layer of vinyl off from what I understand. But again, I only do it once a year and that is on demand not out of wanting to do it...
