I also have 3 brackets on mine, I know I have had 4 or 5 people on mine before with no problems.Originally posted by dogbert View PostMy swim platform has 3 brackets and they appear to be over-engineered like the rest of my boat (or maybe I ordered the heavy-weight package?).

I think you actually have it backwards. Tige went from a two piston TAPS plate to a single plate circa 2003. Whent they went with a single piston, there was no longer a place for the middle bracket. Being the geniuses that they are, they just eliminated it, assuming that 2 was plenty. After a few breaks, they then made the remaining 2 brackets a little stronger. So the newer models around 03 and 04 have a slight tendency to break. I have not heard of any swim platform breaks lately. My 2002 was much like Dog's, the brackets were extremely stout, and there were 3 of them.Originally posted by LovinPowell View PostI think that they went from two to three around 2004 or so. I you have a boat that is 2003 or older, beware. The brackets will buckle and your swim platform will become a slide.Be excellent to one another.

Hey, don't knock the fat chicks, they are a wakesurfer's best friend (although I prefer Alvie because chicks apparently are all over him).Originally posted by chadster2 View PostHow can that even happen?
