2009 Tigé Literature

I went up on the Tige site earlier this week and requested 2009 literature. I was happy when the wife handed me the envelope.

I slowly opened it and a CD fell out and then I pulled out the literature.

I thought it was great that they turned my request around in so little time.

Without paying attention to the cover I opened up the literature and to my amazement landed on an RZ2 and was surprised that it looks like da.bells RZ

As a matter of fact all of the boats looked like the 2007's with Wetsounds on them, It was a friggin 2008 piece of literature so either 2009 stuff is not available to low life's like me or it just doesn't exist yet

Seems like a little when the Tigé site and Tigé literature does not show the latest model year.

Those were last years literature. I am sure they don't have the new stuff out yet. Heck, they haven't even updated their website to have the new 2009 stuff.

Are you serious? Give Tige a break! They just released their 2009 boats. Photoshoots, site updates, literature and collateral take time. This is typical protocol, new models are developed and photoshoots usually take place in July or August, to me they are ahead of the game.

Belive me Tige is working as fast as they can to make updates. If you understood the process of developing almost entirely new boats you would give them some slack. It's not a quick process.

Have you seen any 2009 Mastercrafts, Malibus, Supras, Moombas??? Have you seen them update their sites and literature?

Matt, does this protocol just go for boats?

I am in the product development business albeit not boats and our Product Managers are responsible to have some collaterals ready to coincide with the product launch to the market. Based on what was shown on this site I have to ask was that a preliminary look or was it a launch. Since the boats were used to pull riders I would call it a launch. Matt this is just my opinion.

Where I work the product does not go to a show with out some level of collaterals being available to prospects at the show or via web site hits after the show or introduction.

Maybe it is different in the boat business but it would seem to me you loose a lot of the initial interest in the New Model Years when the are just limited pictures to reference and no pricing info or options info etc. How do the buyers from this site order the 09's?

Since photo sets were taken I would venture to say initial product slicks could have been produced since copy is very similar year to year, and some of that could be used for initial slicks.

Putting together full sales literature does take time and re-shoots of the product. I know how tough it is. I have been involved with one phase or another of product launches for 20+ years.

I understand all this takes time, energy and resources to get done. And your absolutely right, it is not easy nor is it a quick process. I am sorry I come across as critical of the Tige process but IMO some of it should be available at launch or introduction. How do you sell without it?

Since I am not interested in Current Mastercrafts, Supras, Mailibus and Moombas I have not looked at their sites for 2009. I was not commenting on the industry just Tige.(Matt you are correct none of them have up 2009 Collaterals. Just their user sites have info)

If I ordered a boat today, would it say 09 on it? When I got my 05, it was one of the first 05's and I got it the first week of August.

It is getting pretty ridiculous when boats arriving in early July have the next year's model on them. What do they think this is, the car industry?

I would not expect a website update until new buyers are getting what they see on the website. The only thing worse than not updating the website, would be to update it too soon and have to tell people that they can't quite have it yet.

We have really gotten more like a sneak peek than a real introduction, so I would think it wise to just chill out on the website updating.

I think the pro-am being last week had something to do with the rush to get the pics out. I would think they would be hesitant to update the website with all the 07's and 08's still on the lots.

Relax, boys. We got a sneak peak at the new models. They're probably not for sale yet as Tige usually doesn't change out the year model Aug/Sept.

Personally, I wouldn't expect to see a website redesign until Nov/Dec.

As for you Lab_Trainer, might I suggest you rant at our gov't instead of Tige. We clearly need some changes there

WOW, relax boys and girls. If you ordered a boat now it would be an 09'. Tige doesn't usually update their site until the roll over into the next year. Trust me when I say Tige is wayyyyyyyyyy ahead of the game

Wow I must be the only one looking for literature.(I think not) Numerous people were interested in more info same as me. Tige could have posted on Tige news when Website and literature will be available to answer that type of question.
I have also have seemed to have read in a couple of threads that at least two members were trying to buy 09's. They could be yanking our chains or they may actually be trying to buy an 09 or two etc.

If it was a sneak peak, then say that on the Tige news section.

Did you ever think that a sneak peak without literature and web updates could hurt Tige sales while prospects are trying to determine whether to invest in 08's with Marine Power or 09's with PCM motors. At the least you will have delayed sales without basic literature, pricing, options and availability.

Rant ON> Dogbert you might suggest it but I will ignore the preaching from you. You are not my keeper. Tige is a target if I disagree with how something has been handled. I have a right to voice my thoughts as long as I do it without malice. Tige is not un-touchable.They make mistakes and I can voice my opinion the same way you can and have. You have the same right to disagree and voice your opinion that all of us have.

Yeah I am gonna have to say settle down as well. I would like to see the new product on the site just as much as the next guy but I believe the only reason we got to see the product is because this site has the hook up. Not any fault of Tige. I mean if it wasn't for this site and the inside people here, most of us still wouldn't even know there was an 09 product out yet. Much less what they looked like. Until the website updated we would have no idea.

You want to talk about I cant believe the amount of Tige bashing I've seen on this site this week from a couple of you Tige OWNERS What the heck is ya'lls problem. I'm getting confused about what site I'm on, is this WW or Tigeowners.com?


Most everyone here either owns their own company or works for one, either way you work for a company that is in business to make money, right? You don't work for free, right? well Tige is in business to sell boats for a profit, if not, how long do you thing they will be around to provide the crappy boats we all hate and complain about . Some of you forget everything you know about running a successful and profitable business when you start talking about your boat, and think you are the only customer Tige has and expects them to bow to your demands because YOU think you deserve it.

Didn't Tige have their website update with the new models within a week of the new model displays? I thought they did.

But, IMO, the government works faster than Tige does right now. j/k
