Hey spharis, did you pull the trigger on a new ride?

About 2 c**t hairs away. It's ALOT more boat than I was originally shopping for, and it is SWEET!

I know this is about 2009 Tige's and while the 900 pounds of ballast is nice......the ride I am picking up has 2000 pounds worth; not that I'll need it.

I wish I could afford an 09 RZ.......looks like a nice rig.

I won't be eating any of you Tige owners alive. I think this is going to be very good for Tige. I think Tige is provided the great features of other boats all in one boat.

Matt, thanks for posting these pics. Here are my thoughts. Like the Rz graphics and gel, do not like the Ve grapcis and gel, I like the tower better than when I first saw it but still would rather a more traditional tower, think the Ve looks WAY to much like a Malibu with the tower, windshield, graphcis, gel option, think the in floor ballast, dash and cups holders on the side are awesome. Overall I am happy to see Tige making some bold changes even though they are all not my cup of tea. I bet I could create a Tige to my liking with all these options.

I guess if you order a Tige you can order without a tower and buy your own? I wonder what you get off the boat with dropping the tower option. I also wonder if that tower is exclusive to Tige or if Metcraft (that is who make them, right?) would sell that design to, say, Malibu? They probably have some sort of exclusivity agreement with each manufacturers design.

Overall, I like the changes. I'm not going to give my opinion on the tower because frankly i'm not sure what my opinion is. One minute I like and the next i don't. With this tower, where will the mirror be mounted? On the windshield?

Metcraft does make Malibu's Illusion tower. Wonder if I could swap the new Tige tower on to my LSV to create the one true Tigabu.

This is what I heard, take it for what it is worth.

When Metcraft created the 1st tower ( the one BU uses) apparently it was offered to Tige 1st for exclusive, The owner ( Charlie) did not think it would catch on and said no, Then Metcraft went to BU and well the rest is history.

This time around, Metcraft went to BU 1st and BU declined the exclusive as they did not want to change from what they had. next up was Tige and this time, Charlie jumped and grabbed it exclusive and all.

That is the story I have heard, again take it for what its worth as I can not verify it.

Overall I am liking the new tower not sure if I would give up my Samson but would consider it.

My order for my 09' drops in on Monday when pricing is released, Might discuss a swop out. Assuming yours has the 102" beam like the bigger BU's do

Jury still out on the tower, but TWS didn't really go with the Tige' towers anyway. It will be interesting to see what Explosion comes up with for 2009. All in all, the new gel options are way better than in year's past. I really like the graphics on the RZ; not so much on the 22Ve'. Did I miss the 2009 Z1?

Looks like patience paid off. He gets the benefit of hindsight.

Looking at some of the pro-am pics it looks like the tower is going to fold backwards towards the transom, unlike its cousin the illusion tower that folds forward towards the windshield.

tower= maybe i have to see it in person. i dont see a good bimini or mirror option but maybe they have a trick we dont know about. we will se.
new graphics/gel lines are insane luv-em. they were do for a re-work
the new interior layout looks great as well.
new ballast system is great!
