I unhooked everything before I started. just hooked up everything prematurely......some of you older guys my know how that is 
I actually called chp about 5 times before even attempting to do this on my own and about 3 times during the process. He just likes the fact that I make him feel needed
still havent found the fuse yet.......looks all night

ok so found the problem. there was a black wire that was hooked to ground( which would make sense), but it needed to be hooked up to the positive side of the battery. Now I have a new problem.
when ever I hook up that wire to the positive side I can turn the key and everything powers up but when the key is off the red warning light and a warning tone are going off the entire time it is hooked up.....
whats my problem now? oh and the stereo still isnt working.....Everything happens for a reason

thats not the problem any more, everything is ready to fire now that I got the wires straight. Now the new problem is when I hook up the wire like its supposed to be the warning light on the dash goes on and there is a toneEverything happens for a reason
