Here is what happened
My girlfriend drove a slow preturn which set a huge roller for the double up. When spotting the rollers I saw this monster. I thought to myself do I really want to hit this, it was my first set of the day and I still hadn't warmed all the way up. I decided to go for it, but I think the anxiety set me off early and I completely forgot what I was going to do. I could tell I was going to be early so I tried to slow my cut, which got my board a little to flat and my arms extented. You can see in the picture I was a little early on hitting the meat of the double and my arms are way to extended. At this point I remembered I was going to do a nose/360, but quikly realized it wasn't going to happen and I needed to get back on axis. So I pulled the handle to get the board back under me, which was dominated by my right hand because my left hand was still thinking nose grab. This is what caused the rotation. Now all I needed to was brace for impact.
I had no intentions of a raley. If I was going to to a raley I do not have the line tension or the squat and lean back to have my legs and board realease behind me.
The only thing I did right was were my CGA vest for this set because I knew I was going to be trying new things.
