Domsz, what kind of pumps are you running? Also, how scary is it to drill a hull through your hull? I'm worried about doing that

J/k. Just make sure you drill the correct size hole (just cuz the fitting says x", dont take it for granted, double check before you drill). Measure carefully. You dont want to drill into the stringers or somewhere that you cant access the top of the fitting, nor do you want it to end up under a trailer bunk either. When you think you found the right spot, drill a very small pilot hole to see exactly where things will end up. A 1/16 hole is easier to fill then a 2"
Other then that, use the normal precautions when drilling gel-coat. Tape off area to help prevent chipping, drill slow, drill in reverse til through the gel-coat, bevel edge to prevent future spider cracks, and a good bead of 5200 sealer (enough to ooze out when fitting is installed, but more is not better)Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

Read the links in in the How To sectionOriginally posted by illiniboarder88 View PostWhat do you use for the water source? I've thought of using bilge pumpsas well, but they seem to draw from the bottom. I'd love to know how you rigged that.

You got me confused. How does the bilge style pump with an auto on and off feature help you when filling or emptying ballast?Be excellent to one another.

not to sound like a smart @$$, but, the lake. You install a fresh water pickup of sorts and the pumps draw from that. Check out the link of Xp's and Talltigeguy's installs.Originally posted by illiniboarder88 View PostWhat do you use for the water source? 900#'s in a Tige is like 1500 in the others. Plus, if you plan on Surfing, you will need the weight in addition to the factory system. We rode behind our dealers RZ this Summer on a clinic day with Cathy Williams and I could tell a big difference between my Ve w/o ballast and the RZ with.Originally posted by eksilva View PostDoes anyone have a RZ2 with factory instaled ballast? Does it make a lot of diffence when the ballast are full?
I guess I want to make sure it will be worth it to add ballast myself.
With all the fittings pictured with it, I wonder if it goes both waysOriginally posted by talltigeguy View PostYou got me confused. How does the bilge style pump with an auto on and off feature help you when filling or emptying ballast?
