I went to Mtn High in 1992 when I was in High School. I had just moved to Lancaster from Utah and I just was not as impressed with the blown ice. I don't know if it is still the same way or not. It was a pretty area and pretty easy going runs. Now that I am older it will probably be blue squares for me no more of the black diamonds. But who know it might be like a bike and I pick it right back up.

I can tell you that the snow coverage is much better now. Mt high is dominated by snowboarders and the board park now and every lift you take on the west resort you will go through some kind of board park. They do have the east resort with out a park that has a nice long mid level run but that the only run you go on all day and it gets repetitive. If you do go to one of the so cal resorts I recommend snow summit a lot more runs, better snow and only a 1 small board park.

well yeah that's a givin. But carley will want to regardless, unless she can't get time off, but then again I'm not paying for her this trip, as I'm already paying for her costa rica trip and BVI trip, so this one is on her own.

I do have to correct this they were seeing up to 6" on the freeway in spot. I have three friends that are CHP officers up there and I talked to them on the phone while they practices there sliding skills and donut skill and all other sorts of fun driving while they had free run of the whole pass.

They told me they had 6" in areas and that the plows needed to clear it before they could re-open it and they would not reopen it as long as snow continued to fall.

Reason is CA drivers on the most part not all don't have a clue what to do when one snow flake hits the ground.

I was on a ride along with my friends one time and it started to snow up there. All I can say is I was glad to be in the CHP car. People were crazy and we just went from one accident to another.

In one hour my friend had 12 accidents to work and that was only one of the other 8 units on the road running form accident to accident. It is know wonder they just close it down at the sign of snow. They don't have the man power to clean up the mess it causes.

oh no, they closed the grapevine due to 6 inchs of snow, Oklahoma has 2 inches of ice, and no power to 1/3 the state and they don't "Close the state" down.

6 inches in spots is like saying it snows in bako IMO.

DOMSZ06 are you going to be in town Friday. One of my friends form the BPD (good friend to have he watches our home all the time when he is on duty). He owns a Calbrea and want to go out boarding. He has his own dry suit. If your around you can go with us.
