I'm a Big Ten fan, and I think the Gators are going to work Michigan. OSU v. LSU will be a good one.

I will pull for LSU just because I am partial to the SEC and I work w/ a bunch of OSU fans. The next 50 days are going to be fun for me anyway. So far the only response they give is "at least we are there". I just tell them if the Gators didn't play anyone all year they would be there also. We are very young this year. We should have a good 2 years coming up.

Well, anyone want to weigh in on the way this season ended? Wild stuff. I for one don't like the way the polls have been manipulated at the end of the year, but so is life. Given that there are a number of people from Souther California on here, my guess is I'll be rooting against a number of you come New Years.

Well, being a season ticket holder to USC (yes, I travel 5+ hours to the games), I'll have to step up and say that the big 10 was down this year and OSU doesn't deserve to be in the championship game. The best thing about playing the Illini in the Rose Bowl is that we will be able to say that we beat the team that beat the team that lost in the NC game. I think that LSU will beat OSU like Florida did last year and by halftime we will all be looking for other entertainment that night.

I couldn't disagree with you more. If there were a playoff (eight teams) there would still be as much interest in the regular season. The only difference would be that the focus would be on who should be ranked 7th or 8th instead of one or two. Plus then we would have the most interesting three weeks of football with the National Championship tournament. It is all about the money, and the bowls have a stranglehold on the system. I'm affraid that it is going to have to get even worse before it gets better.

I just can't see how a team that loses to Arkansas in the season prime, when they are supposed to be gel, can claim the National Spotlight. LSU isn't playing like a national team.

You guys ever realize how many pro players come from the SEC and Sunbelt, and then within those how many are from LA; even the small schools (Jake Delhomme, Brandon Stokely, etc)?

Not really. I didn't go to UT, so honestly, I don't get really wound up like you guys do. I just said that because it was one of the most entertaining college football games I have ever watched. Both teams played really well and were very talented.

I would like to see Hawaii play in a playoff. I love UH, and I know they are undefeated, and I saw the whoop a$s they put on Boise State yet I'm still not sure they are top 8 material. They should be able to play though seeing as they are the only undefeated team left. I know....I know they didn't play "anyone". Look and see how many teams payed out the a$$ to NOT play them. They deserve a shot at a BCS title.

Now the best game ever was the Boise State vs OK game last year, I'm a OSU Beaver fan (in case no one knew) and hate Boise State but that was an awsome game..........

It's ok I get hated on every night at work cuz I hate SC and I root for OU all the time!!

My neighbor went to IL... He is all crazy about the Illini going to the Rose Bowl... He's getting tickets and going to the game... He's also getting a tattoo of the chief to mark the occasion...

and I think ILL will win. SC fans are already talking about how the bcs is gonna be all screwed up after they crush ILL and OU loosed and so does LSU. I was like WHAT?? YOU LOST TO STANFORD!! he didn't have a comment (guess he didn't see the OU/Tech game)

This season has again proven that we need a playoff. I don't think either team LSU or OSU deserved to be in the NC game. I think the hottest team right now is OU, and maybe USC. I think the national championship will end up being split with the winner of the BCS championship game and if OU wins the Fiesta bowl the AP will vote OU number 1.

I also think that TV announcers and ESPN has too much pull. They started lobbying for LSU as soon as the upsets happened. I also think all conferences either have to play a conference championship or none play them. It isn't fair to a team like Missouri when OSU can sit there and watch.

I think OU should be in it, yes they are my team, but they are also the hottest team out there. Yeah we lost to Tech, but hello did you watch that game? we had the game, but we just didn't punch it through, oh well. and WTF? how does KU get a BCS and not MU when MU went to the championship? What I hate is the lack of consistency in the polls. I have never seen a situation where the number 7 team leap squeaks by the number 14 team and leaps over higher rated teams. In any other week of the system, LSU would be 3rd or 4th. The media wants LSU in the title game, so they got placed there. Missouri is the team that really gets hosed here. How Kansas finished in front of them is something I'll never comprehend. As for the chief tatoo, I love it.

Its never gonna be fixed until their is a playoff system.A sweet 16 would be great.Schools would get more money,football would last a few extra weeks and you would have a definite champion,not a co champ or anything else.

How so? You could have a 16 team play off and then the rest of the top 25 or what ever still goes to the bowls. Teams will travel to every game and the bowls will loose ZERO!! and hello, you throw a cinderalla team in there and they would make even more money. Imaging a # 16 team playing in the championshp? hello the entire city would be there! There is no way that they can say they will loose money. People are still going to travel, and companies are still going to pay to advertise.

it was a good game. I hated it but it was still good. and i'm sorry but Hawaii doesn't deserve to be in it!! they have the 174th WORST schedule strength. They don't deserve to be in ANY BCS game
