I use to have a Titan for towing the boat, but got rid of it in less than a year. They do tow nice, but when towing you will get 8 to 11 MPG depending on the grades you are going up and down, and with that 22? gallon tank you're not going to get that far. I had a few nervous moments coming back from Roosevelt praying that I was going to make it back to Fountain Hills. Then I made the drive from Phoenix to Powell, I had to stop every 100 miles for gas. I ended up getting a 2002 PSD Excursion. 15 MPG towing, with a 44 gallon tank, my range has greatly increased.

I would say you probably had a issue with your TITAN Injectors hanging open to 5ms on a regular basis. They have an issue with that and it requires re flashing the PCM to correct it. Mine did the same thing and I was getting 8 mpg's but once that was fixed I now get 16mpg's towing or not. I do still want to upgrade some day though to a GMC 2500 with a Duramax. Those are towing machines.

I love my GMC 2500 (LBZ) paired with that Allison 6 speed it is unstopable!

Nice truck! Hopefully you didn't get the black cloth that's otherwise known as "the lint collector edition"! My '07.5 Silverado is horrible, horrible, horrible! You can't get the lint and dust off with a vacuum or a lint brush (sticky tape kind). I guess there was a TSB on them but the dealers stopped replacing the seats for some reason. PM if you did get the cloth and need more info.

The new brown can look like black at the right angle. If you haven't seen it yet, i'd suggest to go check it out, VERY good looking. Best brown i've seen in years.
