Are you talking about the transom eyes on the back of the boat?Originally posted by zad0030 View PostI stick with the "TOW HOOK"
Our boat didn't even have reinforcing plates behind the transom eyes.
Our transoms are only 7/8" or so. The transom on our '75 Cobalt was 1 1/2" 31 ply.
The transom eyes are great for trailer tie downs.

No, I have a hook built in with the grab handle, thats bolted down in 4 places and the transom is 1 1/4" thick.Originally posted by R&T Babich View PostAre you talking about the transom eyes on the back of the boat?

I haven't seen one of those. Sounds like it would work fine. Our Cobalt had a "tow hook". It was bronze and was basically a bolt thru the transom with a hook on the end. Bent it over a few degrees pulling tubes.Originally posted by zad0030 View PostNo, I have a hook built in with the grab handle, thats bolted down in 4 places and the transom is 1 1/4" thick.
