if you get dorsey to make you the swing away trailer it breaks away right under the nose of the boat so your boat is 21 feet 4 inches IF you take off the platform.

If you leave it assembled or don't get the break away from the tip of the trailer to the end of the swim platform is almost 26 feet

They already have the trailer, I just wanted to make sure I could fit it in my drive way, My drive way is about 26/7feet long and 150 inches wide.

Wannabe, My boat is only slightly longer and I have no trouble getting it into my garage. I have room for about 25', which is about what my boat/trailer w/ swim platform is. 150" is plenty wide enough. If you can't get it in there, then you need to practice backing your trailer. But, it's probably not you doing it, so be patient with your dad.

Wannabe, My boat is only slightly longer and I have no trouble getting it into my garage. I have room for about 25', which is about what my boat/trailer w/ swim platform is. 150" is plenty wide enough. If you can't get it in there, then you need to practice backing your trailer. But, it's probably not you doing it, so be patient with your dad.

The boat WILL NOT fit in today's garage UNLESS the house was custom built.

I have lived in 5 different houses since I have the boat, and not one is deep enough. Now if I had a swival tongue trailer and removed the swim platform and folded the tower down then certain garages i would fit, not with the dorsey swival, but other swivals it would. The doresey trailer swivals between 6 inches and a foot infront of the bow, so that makes this boat almost 23 feet long.

Now if your wanting to put the entire boat in the garage at an angle and not use any other storages space for cars then that can happen too.

Just pointing out some info. Hope all this helps wannabe.

I may or may not have a chance on my friends 21i its a 2000 or 2001(Yes the bleached platform boat). We may be able to take over the payments that are $230 can some please give me an idea of how much longer we would have to pay that $230?(1 year, 5 years, 10 years????)

Also the "inboard seal" Where the prop shaft comes into the hull is leaking, Hard to fix? Costly job? Is it worth it?

What is he proposing when you say "take over payments" ??? Can he no longer make the payments and will trade the keys to the boat for you satisfying HIS loan? Is he transferring the note and title into your name? Do any lenders even do this anymore?

Based on the numbers, if you take up payments, you are getting hoses IMHO, you need to decide what the boat is worth to YOU and what the Fair Market Value is, and negotiate a buying price. Then pay him for the boat and have him transfer the title to you (or lean holder if you take a loan on it)

I think they ment that if we OK'd the dealio then we would transfer payments into my dads name and then go to the DMV and change the name on the title and go though all the paper work and whatnot.

Yes my dad will be backing this into my drive way, no garage...butit has a cover, hardly used(if you know what I"m talking about)
