My dealer said they were no longer an option in 08. Mine had large flakes coming off at every point they attached to the tower after only folding it down a few times. My dealer is getting them replaced with the plain ones under warranty.
I heard they are not a warranty issue item. That is what I was told by Andrew at least.
I dropped the boat at the dealer for the 2nd time this past Saturday for this and some other minor warranty work. They said they had already received the new supports.....
The 21' Ve (or whatever model name they give it now) should be released soon from what I hear. I guess the dealers complained about the RZ1 designation because it didn't have a pickle fork front end on it so they are supposed to rename it. From what I hear they needed a 21' V-Drive to fill the gap between the price difference of a 20V vs a 22Ve.
I believe it will be unveiled in the next few weeks at the dealer meeting here in Dallas. The rumor is Tige is being real tight lipped about the specifics of the boat. Again it’s all just a rumor.
...if they dont want to call it an RZ1, perhaps they could call it a ZR1. it sounds cooler anyways- like the corvette. I guess its just wishful thinking that it'll be a "riders" boat competing with a 210.
Whatever it is, I'm anticipating it'll look pretty damn cool. I still like the bow of the vé series and transom of the RZ series. Might just be my next boat... currently thinking about ordering a vé this winter.
