dogbert - do your side panels not come out on your boat? When I took my panel out it looked like I had all the access in the world. The impeller on my boat is pretty easy to access and only needs a straight slot screwdriver to pull the cover off from what Lee said. I think Tige and Marine Power are getting better as time goes on.

Yes, they do. But as TigeDuner pointed out, the MP is way easier to work on, albeit not perfect.

Good news and bad, the only issue is it's not a Tigé she has her sights set on! And also unfortunately for me once she sets her sights on something it's hard to sway her.

Three: We have a "connection" for another well known brand and there's a real good possibility we can get a fantastic price on a new one fully loaded. Let's just say waayyyy better than any other dealer for any other brand could match.
Four: She's extremely frugal and when it comes to money so i'd have to justify that big (major) price jump.

Frugal means being "wise" with her money, not cheap. Tiges are the most for ya money

We drove to Austin Texas to get our 05 with 32 hours just this past December. Scratch that excuse, make a trip out of it for HER.

Bought it from the Malibu dealer near Bucannon on the Freeway. The previous owner was a friend of the shop Owner.

i work on them every day ill take the MP over the merc. everytime. MP 340 perfect combo of power with great fuel consumption. could not ask for better. if your looking at a tige the MP340 the way to go.
