If you are in a canyon, if you climb up, you usually get a clearer signal. I have even been on a houseboat where I don't get a signal unless I went up on the roof. I am on Verizon.

If your taking your cell phone to LAKE POWELL, maybe U should stay home instead !!! or go 2 Mead or Mohave !!! U'r phone will work here and there possible, BUT DO YOURSELF a favor and forget about your cell phone and unwind & leave it alllllll behind. It'll B there when U get back !!

yo billyo, my pregnant wife has granted me a hall pass to take this trip without her, believe me, i would love to leave the thing home but i will probably be forced to check in on a daily basis. what kind of anchors were you using, we plan on camping in the smaller protected coves

My brother just left yesterday and said a serious storm hit. Unfortunately, they had just pulled the anchors and started motoring down the channel. The storm hit and our 75ft house boat became a sail. He said the wind almost pushed the house boat into the canyon wall. He had to full throttle both motors in a right turn just to stay straight in the channel. The swells were coming over the front deck and slamming into the glass slider. I'm fairly psyched I couldn't go this year. Anchor well, storms can be nasty this time of year.
