    Low Water?

    Would you think we need more water in the lake?

    My local is being drained to kill off some duckweed......sigh. I doubt an inboard can launch right now. The other lakes are busting at the seams though.

          Oroville is still usable, the marina is low, but the ramp is still paved. The great thing is all the tourists have gone home, and its like a private lake during the week, and not so bad on the weekend.

            What is a normal level below "full pond" for your lake. Our's is 5+ ft low and most of the ramps are unusable

              Well, there are two ramps open right now and there probably will be one ramp open in 2 weeks. I have heard the the Army Corps of Engineers is going to take this drought and low lake level time to dredge up the edges of the lake. We are hoping that some of the islands that appear in the middle of the lake disappear during this process.

                Last year it was at 464 feet. Right now, it's at 402.

                    I wish. They have a total of 12 and only 2 are available. Now, when the water is high, there are only 9 available. 3 of them are for low, low water levels.

                        We has ZERO count them ZERO made for low lake level. currently there is only one launch ramp on wylie that I can get my boat in on and even that is sketchy at best

                        chp not sure if I told you but I was at south point that day you didnt go. I had the boat tied up down the doc so I could pull the trailer down and load up. I stepped off the swim platform to swim and it was about waist height
                        the prop never hit but I was scared

                          I launched/retrieved at big alison this weekend with no probs 2 of the 4 lanes there are closed

                            Makes me kind of glad the ocean does not have a drought. Given boating in saltwater is a little more maintenance, but atleast I have my choice of about 20 ramps with 30-40 minutes drive that are always usable We had low lake levels for quite a while, but they are finally coming up.
