You are absolutely right that 1001hp won't stick to the street. The Bugatti has that much power b/c (correct if I'm wrong) it's supposed to be the fastest production car in the world. Top speed of something like 253mph. I was watching a show on Speed TV where they took one to top speed and it took miles and miles to get there and when they did, he said it was amazingly smooth.

As far as best bang for the buck, you are right the Z is awesome! I wasn't knockin' your Z either b/c I LOVE them! Esp. the new ones! 500 N/A hp is amazing. I love that car and I hate that Ford came out w/ the GT500 that has 500 hp from a supercharged 5.4L and think it compares. The GT500 handles like a semi compared to the Z06.

Speaking of bang for your buck, I bought my '04 Mach 1 new for $24,000 and it does 0-60 in 4.6 sec. Build up the motor, rear-end, and add a supercharger or twin turbo and is a fast car for under 50g's.

yeah and the gt500 weighs 4400 lbs, compared to my 3200 it's a TANK!!

I beg to differ on the fastest production car. a car where only 10 are produced is hardly production, but I don't want to beat a dead horse.

SOrry about the defensivness on cars, I agree I'd drive one, but I have begun to take the Dream to Practical and there is no way I could afford a bugati. Those cars are out of my league so I stick with stuff that I can actually try and get

hey don't knock the smart car. That might be my next purchase. 70+ is what they actually get they advertise 40+. Also the other car the one that gets 1001 HP. Well I was in CO Denver working with the Lambo dealer doing some diagnostic training with the only technician they have. Guess what came in that day. It was amazing. They are also the dealer for Bugatti. That car hooks up and does not break traction like everyone thinks. Just think about it if you pay 1.4 million for a car well it better be best in class in everything from front to back top to bottom and every which way mechanical and electrical.
