That was a Moomba... You have a Tige now.. Now, what would be more embarrassing, being towed in by a low hull fishing boat or a BU?????
Well, the fishing boat I towed in was like a cartop boat. He was right in a big body of water too. I would have sunk him with a surfwake. It was maybe 12ft long, with 3 guys in it fishing. It didn't even have a power motor. They were running on a kota or something, batter trolling motor. I should have got a picture of it. I went to throw him a rope, and he was going to tie off on the stern, since this plastic thing had no bow ring or nothing. I said, "I don't think so". So I threw him our SURF handle and just hooked it to the pylon and pulled him like 7mph. So the one guy is sitting in the front of this little plastic thing, with his knees real high, since the boat and seats are so low. He is holding the little handle to the surf roap between his knees and I towed him in like that. People were busting up as they went by. They probably thought we were inventing a new sport. I kept waiting for him to say "HIT IT!".
No joke, the top of this boat, with the 3 people in it, was MAYBE 3-4 inches off the water. They were crazy being out in the main channel on a saturday. These guys like to fish in the shade of the bridges on the concrete pylons.
So all that to say, if that guy was towing me in, it would be MORE than embarassing. ;-)
And why don't they had snowboarders only resorts????
You got me? I don't ski or snowboard, just know how skiers have kept boarders out because of attitudes. I'm a snowmobiler and we have issues there as well with enviromentalist, talk about opening a can of worms. Go on one of their forums and discuss land closures. I am not neccesarily saying tigeblue doesn't have point when it comes to safety, but if it is just about someone thinking they deserve one stretch of water over someone else that's where I think people get in trouble.
My dad always said "Stupid Hurts". He's yet to be proven wrong, but for some reason I keep trying.
The problem is the ratio from people to glass is too big.
Thats why I moved to a place with big lake and much less people. And since many are from SAC or Bay area, they can't stay late, or get there too early. So early and late are almost always very nice.

I feel for ya. Land closures to us snowmobilers are the death of our sport. Do you happen to be a member over at www.snowest.com?
Yeah I'm a memeber over there, but don't post much especially this time of year. I'm also a member at http://sledheads.com/
I see the death of snowmobiling because people don't get along and that's why I brought up the fact that we all should just play nice. I know of one area we used to ride all the time that was accessed through private property with permission and then an aquatance of the owner knew someone that had a bad experience and talked the private property owner into shutting us down, this was all due to someone who knew somebody who knew somebody.
This could be the case for us boaters in some areas. Some of our local reservoirs are privately owned and operated. They just may like tubing on glass and decide not to let outsiders in. As far as this can of worms on this thread I'll just say, let's all play nice together or someone may force us to take our toys and go somewhere else.

damn someone got their panties in a wad.
these arent the droids you're looking for.
he can go about his business.
move along.
Ya maybe I did, but then again I tend to lose my cool and comment when someone thinks they own the water or have rights to it over anyone else.
FYI-My comments were based off of the 1st post he made, not the second post ( at a later time) where Tigeblue told more of the actual story. ( about the guy jumping his wake, which is dangerous) Just thought I would spell out the timeline for you.... it's clear to me that you might be a little slow and can't follow the thread properly
I was not the only member to call him out based on his 1st post... maybe your still reading those?
Simply put, I don't need to hear your ASSinine comments or remarks. Do yourself a favor and comment on the thread at hand or at least try to follow it properly instead of trying to pick a part someone's 1st reply.
When we were at Glendo a few weeks ago we got flipped off by a fisherman and he was in a protected area. I make sure to keep telling the guys to keep a LOT of distance from the fisherman, especially when we are surfing.
I just ignore people, it makes them even madder - especially road rage people!
