Need some help with selling our boat....

see that just dumbfounds me. I was on lake texoma with my boat, and not once took water over the bow, and there are some HUGE wakes on that lake. After driving anhaney's 24v, I wouldn't even be on the defense on all the lakes I have been on. It's so tall out of the water, I don't even have to think twice.

But when he was drivng my 21i, he had water over the bow twice, just on my own wake.

Maybe I'm on the defense, and just don't realize it.

I hear ya, I think you must be. I am coming from years having a runabout. I couldn't get water over the bow on my 220 horizon if I tried. And I did try. One time I got a little over when I had 14 people in my boat. So it was never even a concious thought. Now, I think about it.

i guess so. It's second nature I guess. I will soak them though if I want but otherwise they never get wet.

Yeah, on my first out, I went back in over the wake, and 3 kids in the bow. I new this boat would take in water a easier than the 220, prob like my old 190, so I slowed going down the wake into next. Water came in, drenched the bow, and hit the windshield and drenched me, and put 3 inches of water on the ground. I decided not to do that again. Opened my eyes a bit.

I have the 23V and I have only taken water when there were 6 foot waves and one other time when I was trying and cut the gas right at the top of a wave. However, I did have one roller come over the transom when I was stopped and somebody wakesurfing came within 25 feet of my boat.

I dunnow. I can only compare to my previous runabouts. But even with just a little water coming over, it gets all the way to the windshield. If you take on a decent amount, it comes over windshield. I am not sure if it is the ride height, but the way the hull is. My 220 would like BOB up, like it was more buoyant. My Ve just digs through that next wave instead of climbing it.

OK i don't get this, my boat sits lower than ANY boat on this board and i've never taken anything over the bow/windshield other than splashes when slow moving in rough water. I guess i'm defensive as well without even thinking about it. Now my brother-in-law will take a roller over the bow almost every outing on his '89 Ski Sanger and it's closed bow as well. What i would give for a 24ve!

Then my boat is different I can take in water, if I turn on a wakeboard wake, and idle straight into it. No ballast, no one up front, my large family in boat. 6 foot waves would sink it, unless you worked it HARD.

don't get me wrong, I love my 24Ve. I have put 55 hrs on it in a month. But I kid you not, water will come over, splash HARD into the windshield and get you wet on a wakeboard wake, with the bow down at idle. Will DRENCH the DRIVER on a surfwake.

ha, see that's the problem, i just figured it out!!

When you stop, how do you stop to pick up a downed wakeboarder, skier or surfer?

If you do it just like you said you will have huge rollars. Everytime I stop after a downed skier, I stop, let the wake pass me and then turn and idle to the boarder.

If there are big waves still in the lake (not sure you would be wakeboarding then if you are) you can idle a bit faster, with your taps at 7 and your nose will be a mile out of the water

that's what I'm talking about Razz,

see I learned to drive a ski boat in a 2050 closed bow. That thing is ULTRA low and i'm like you, never took over water. But then again, the owner is a perfectionist, and I was scared to death to pull him as I didn't want to mess him up, I saw how frustrated he would get with his wife. Now I always pull him when I'm around, and she says it makes for a MUCH better weekend
