A little late in the season, I know, but travel and work (plus some crappy weather) delayed our maiden voyage untill this weekend. God do I love my new boat. Have yet to get the perfect surf wake with the 24, my 22 produced a much better wake. I need to work on the ballast and how to get the right wake.

That looks beautiful. Both the boat and the scenery are terrific. Looks like the little ones are having a good time at it too.
It is clear from your pics that the boat is not leaning enough to create a surf wake. Your boat almost looks flat. For the surf wake, definitely more is better in terms of ballast.Be excellent to one another.

You know I filled up the ballast tanks and really did not notice much difference. I just got to play around with it some more, but the water wasn't all that smooth either which will drastically effect the wake.Originally posted by talltigeguy View PostThat looks beautiful. I have the same new 24Ve and love it also. We don't even have the ballast, but we have a big family, and I am a big guy. We just put EVERYONE in the boat, and a big cooler, in the back corner of the boat. It lists over quite a bit. I don't have a picture of the amount of list, but at least 15º I would say. That is the key, on the driver side, you get a beautiful curl in the wake. And it is still nice on other side, just not as defined. When your wake is washed out, like in your picture, it is VERY hard to surf on.Originally posted by sparky216 View PostYou know I filled up the ballast tanks and really did not notice much difference.
