Mostly based on looks and clearance between bimini. 80s wouldn't fit between bimini and tower and biminis are a must in Phoenix 6 months out of the year. Plus I think the 80s look bulky.

That would be a major disappointment to find out an 8 or 10 inch speaker would interfere with the bimini. Which tower is it?
