Pretty sure taps was on 1...we were headed in for the day. I was really impressed with the boat, this was my first time riding behind it this weekend and Taps at 4 at 21 mph seemed about perfect for my skill level right now. Still have a LOT of experimenting to do though!
Tried surfing too! I'm hooked on that! I could only let go of the rope for a few seconds but it was my first time out. Boat was worth every penny!

but then the wake is way smaller. I'll try it next time. I mean When I surf at llike 10 I can go forever and go up and down the wake so I figured I was in the right spot. Guess I'll do some trial and error.Originally posted by G-MONEYIt hurts me to say it but go OU but only for this weekend!!!!

I was reading, that if you have all your ballast in back, the wake is closer and shorter. If you have your ballast throughout the boat, so more of the boat is sitting low, the wake is longer for surfing. I have more experimenting to do also. It sure is fun though. 3 of my kids can surf without the rope now.Originally posted by Domsz06 View Postbut then the wake is way smaller. I'll try it next time. Ya it's true that all the weight in the back will make for a taller, shorter pocket that is closer to the platform. On the other hand a boat that has weight all along one side of the boat will have a much longer pocket that is farther back. This can be adjusted a little bit with taps too. taps at 7 makes a smaller pocket than taps at like 4 or so..If you ain't falling.. you ain't trying hard enough..

I've found that the further I can get the boat to list, the better the wake gets. It's a noticable difference when even just one person sits on the opposite side. That one person's weight basically doubles. If a 150lb person moves to the opposite side you have just taken 150lbs off one side and applied 150lbs to the other, resulting in a 300lb swing. Yikes. You'll get your chance, smart guy.
