Are you saying that you didn't put it there? I had to install my own and where I put it was just common sense..... hummmmmmOriginally posted by jleger98 View PostI think its a horrible place for one, but I haven't moved it yet. The problem is that its on the other side of the engine. so if there is a fire, its tough to get to. I'm guessing that's why they now put them near the driver.
Probably should check to make sure the thing works too. It clearly hasn't been used in the 10 years since it was put there.

Thats what I'm saying. It looks like its a factory-style mount, not an aftermarket. Also, I think the date on the bottle is 1997.Originally posted by da.bell View PostAre you saying that you didn't put it there? I had to install my own and where I put it was just common sense..... hummmmmm
Reality is only an illusion that occurs due to a lack of alcohol.

Found this and thought you would be interested. I know it is for CA but it's something.Originally posted by jleger98 View PostYes, but that would require me to look at the gauge, and after 5 years I believe they are supposed to be replaced or recharged anyway.Attached Files

The article said 5 years for chemical and 3 years for water.. The water one might have been from the websites that I was searching on...... But, my all means, DO NOT take my word as gospel either.Originally posted by jleger98 View PostMy dad used to be a district Fire Chief for the City of Minneapolis. They always had everyone re-charge or replace extinguishers every 5 (i think) years. Not sure whether it was the law or just practice.

I removed the cover around my steering cables on the drivers side by your feet (you have a 22ve) it is probably the same and mounted it there, nice and handy if anything happens. Can post a pic if you want
