I LOVE em. However I've never used the new OT bindings. However I have alot of friends that ride w/ me that have always used my board. A couple of them can't use my board now b/c of the closed toe boots. Just something to keep in mind.Being a major OU fan and a staunch conservative.... I am perpetually vexed w/ the conundrum of who to hate more. Obama or the Univ. of Saxet.

CT would seem nice when the water is cold and you want to keep your feet warm.Originally posted by westtx View PostDid anyone use the Shane ct bindings? How did they feel compared to the ot bindings.
On wakeworld.com, there is are a few discussions about OT and CT. You might want to look there also to find out more information.

I used the Shane CT's over the winter and they didn't work well for me - I had to send them back for store credit. My foot is narrow and I couldn't get the binding tight enough across the top of my foot to get any kind of control. I had the right size length-wise, just Much too wide. The fixed material over the toe doesn't allow the laces to draw down as tight across the foot as in open-toe designs.
The bindings have small drain holes, but a fair amount of water remains in the boot while you're riding - not a great sensation in my opinion. Granted, if the bindings do fit properly, this might be minimized - but I doubt eliminated.
I can't comment on the increased leverage, as I didn't have a good enough fit to experience it.
I may try another closed-toe once they get into the second or third generation of the design and incorporate more flexible materials.
