Sparky, great taste ! Believe it or not I ordered the same boat, same, colors, same graphic. Looks like the main difference is the Tige tower and I went with the red vinyl inserts instead of gray. I'm told mine is under construction now and will be delivered mid Feb.

It's going to be a fun summer !

How many boards do you have on your teak platform? 6 or 7? From the picture it looks like 7. If you could give me the width dimension (shorter one) I would appreiciate it. It was my understanding that TIGE was no longer providing teak platforms because their source was no longer in business! Maybe I misunderstood! Looks like they now have a source again. Make sure you watch y9ur teak real close for warping and splitting.

I use these protectors between my straps and the fiberglass. As to hooking onto the trailer I have no idea. I've found them for $3.99, but finding them on westmarine's website was quick and easy.

With a boat as beautiful as that, it doesn't matter what speakers you have!

6, and I'll get you some dimentions this evening. I just asked if they would swap it out and Stayton Motorsports said they had one in back, just needed to be stained. I can find out if they have a new supplier or if this is just from my dealer.

              gman,

You are correct, the company that made the teak platforms for Tige did go out of business but Tige now has a new company manufacturing them. Hopefully they will make them better because the platform on my 06 22V is separating on the outer edge where the two pieces are glued. I keep it inside the garage and oil it every other time out.
I did speak with a rep at the Portland show and he said they would look into it so hopefully I can get a new one.

That is a great looking boat!!!. I am loving the red and black combo, pure evil.

The protectors that Mtnsmith posted are great. The color sucks as they are bright orange but they are a soft rubber. Another solution is if you have any old carpet samples laying around you can cut them into the size you need and put slits in the top and bottom and run the tie down throught them and put the carpet side against the boat. My nieghbor does that with his MC and it works like a charm (plus no cost if it laying around the house).

There was an earlier thread about this. That is where I got the idea. I went to wal-mart and bout those seat belt cushion things. They work great!

Here is a site on the web to illustrate the idea.

Do they fit between the platform and the boat, there is hardly any room? Thanks

I'm on my second platform. Got the original replaced under warranty. The first one was oiled before and after every trip. It started to delaminate and then the wood began to crack. It was less than a year when all this started to happen. I suggest that you Keep a good eye on the your next one. There has been discussion on this issue last year and some folks have replaced theirs several times in a short span of time. I'm watching this one real close.

Thanks for the update. The orgianl one that came with our boat had 7 boards and had about 7% more area. The replacement is like yours.

Awesome looking boat. Hopefully mine looks that good. It should be here mid February. Again welcome to the Tige Family.
