Lead in activity compartments

Do you guys think it’s safe to put lead back here in the activity compartments? It’s in a 2009 24ve. They seem strong enough but just want to be safe.

Not gonna hurt anything, and I never thought to put some there. Those compartments always get wet but i guess it doesn’t really matter much.
I wouldn’t trailer with it there at highway speeds just because of how aft the weight is. You don’t want your trailer to be heavy on the rear, it can cause some pretty crazy instability issues. Around town (<45) I can’t imagine it’d be a problem.

The Ve activity bins were flexier than the newer boats. I run 2 x 50 lb bags in each of mine on a 2016 Z3. I pull those suckers out when towing behind the truck. The trailer likes to get squirrley on bumpy highway turns.
