    2009 tigé z1

My 2009 tigé z1 has been giving me problems while towing a tube, ski, anything. I just had the steering cable, and starter fixed however, this issue has been keeping us off the water. Basically today I went out and it was fine driving out while swimming and the first 15 mins of tubing then we swapped riders went for 5 more minutes and all the sudden with the throttle NOT MOVING the boat would slow and sputter almost like a backfire. When tried new gas to no avail.
    Thank you for your help

Fuel filter? Sounds like it is starving for fuel.

I had this happen on mine a few times when I first got it. Two things. One make sure your flame arrestor (air intake) is nice and clean. Also make sure your hoses allowing air into the engine compartment are clear. Secondly are you turning off the engine after the hard 15 minute run? If so, you are probably creating a vapor lock. After a good hard run always allow the engine to idle for a few mins before turning it off. If you aren't turning it off then obviously that is not your issue.
