    1 year old steering cable

Hey everyone, pretty new to the Tige world and love our 22Ve. We had the steering cable replaced last summer and it made a huge difference, but it is already getting harder to turn the wheel. Shouldn't they last longer than a year?

Did they use the Extreme series cable and run it over the gas tank? There is also a mod that grounds the rudder/cable to deal with galvanic corrosion. Allows the cable to last longer.

The cable won’t last long if it gets submerged in the bilge regularly. These boats can hold quite a bit of water in the bilge under the tank without it being apparent just by looking into the engine bay. Best to make sure you dry the bilge between uses.
I pull my plug and then pull the boat onto a steep part of the ramp for a minute or so after pulling the boat out of the water.
